SN415017 Description and habitatsWoodland - coniferous and deciduous. DirectionsTurn off the A484 west of Burry Port at the sign for Pembrey Country Park. Just after crossing the railway bridge, you should see the sign for Penybedd Wood on your right. There is a free car park. Bus, First Cymru X12 service. Facilities for visitorsThere are none. Tips for birding the siteA public path through the wood starts from the car park. The site is not suitable for anyone with restricted mobility. Best seasonsBreeding woodland birds in spring. Some woodland species in winter. Regular birdsFinches, tits, warblers including Lesser Whitethroat, Redpoll, Siskin. Scarce and rare birdsWoodcock, Crossbill. |
