Woodland - coniferous and deciduous.

Directions

Turn off the A484 west of Burry Port at the sign for Pembrey Country Park. Just after crossing the railway bridge, you should see the sign for Penybedd Wood on your right. There is a free car park. Bus, First Cymru X12 service.

Facilities for visitors

There are none.

Tips for birding the site

A public path through the wood starts from the car park. The site is not suitable for anyone with restricted mobility.

Best seasons

Breeding woodland birds in spring. Some woodland species in winter.

Regular birds

Finches, tits, warblers including Lesser Whitethroat, Redpoll, Siskin.

Scarce and rare birds

Woodcock, Crossbill.
