1 Marsh Harrier. Seen being chased down the valley by the same Buzzard that divebombs me. The Buzzard then returned to continue its assault on me

1 Stock Dove. Nest found- sitting on one egg

2 Bullfinch. The lady in the house asked me if I had seen any on this site, I said no and promptly found a pair

1 Reed Warbler. Singing in reed bed. Had to check the cd when I got home. I get out of touch up here. 6 Sedges, 2 Whitethroats and a Willow Warbler heard as well

1 Reed Bunting. 1 singing from willow at edge of same reed bed as Reed Warbler

4 Coot. 1 pair displaying, the other had a nest with 4 eggs

1 Little Ringed Plover. Sitting on presumed nest on other side of river

10 Tree Sparrow. occupied boxes. Nine on eggs, one with tiny young

2 Spotted Flycatcher. 53 species were recorded during the bird club outing to Lliw valley and Brynllefrith plantation (out of county). Highlights were a pair of Spotted Flycatcher at the nest, willow warbler 20 singing males, great spotted Woodpecker, garden warbler 2, cuckoo 2, Red Kite, peregrine, Redstart, lesser redpoll, Reed Bunting. Great day out.

5 Bar-tailed Godwit. One in full summer plumage

70 Knot. One in red summer plumage. Pleasure to lend you my scope Wendell ;-)

Halfway forest SN8433

4 Wood Warbler. 1 each on SN8333 and SN8433, 2 singing on SN8434 all Carmarthenshire side of Nant y Dresglen stream.

1 Tawny Owl. Half grown downy fledgling near path beneath suitable nest hole. Incredibly a dead adult Swallow was nect to the chick suggesting that it was still being fed by the adults. I moved the chick away from the path as dog walkers use this area.
